What is the process for doctors to come from Overseas to NZ during Covid times?

Critical workers like healthcare workers (GP, with family), are still allowed to travel to NZ.

After getting a work visa, you will need to book a quarantine voucher via Managed Isolation Allocation System before booking your plane ticket. You will need a negative Covid swab within 72 hours of departure. Once you arrive, you will be placed in Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) for 14 days. You can leave the 4- 5 star MIQ facilities (currently in Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Wellington and Christchurch) that you are assigned to if your day 3 and day 12 swabs are negative.
Hot tips:
Vouchers are booked well in advance, but exemptions for Critical Healthcare workers can be successfully applied for with letters of support from employers which we help obtain.
Cost is currently NZD 3,100/ 14d stay, with additional NZD 950/ additional adult and NZD 475/ additional child. This cost could be borne by your employer partially or completely as part of your employment package. You could also use your relocation allowance for this purpose .
